When I was young we would catch Gars in the Mississippi River.
Never have I seen a Gar so big. Way to go Landra. Truly amazing.

What an amazing video! Congratulations on your BIG catch & what a fun memory you made together :)

Wow. That is crazy! I never realized there are fish that big in the Trinity River! Yikes! I used to live close to Dallas - and have been to the Trinity - and all I remember are the FIREANTS! Way to go Landra!

    Totally Cloverfield. :)

AMAZING! What a fish!! To be able to hook and bring in a Gar is just incredible. That is one of the fattest gars i've ever seen. impressive, just truly impressive.

Amazing! Do not swim in the Trinity River!!! This fish story will outlive you Landra.

Allissa thought it is awesome to not only watch you preach on the tv, but to also see you and your daughter enjoy life outside of the pulpit. Great Catch! Holli & Allissa Read

Nice catch, glad to see no one got a "gar scar" from the catch!

Awesome footage and a great catch!

My 9 year old daughter says she wants to catch a world record snook . . . She doesn't know that all that time in a boat with me is "quality time" - good job Ed!

Sweet Moses, that was a dinosaur of sorts. Nice catch!
